General

What is Mayhem Park?

Mayhem Park is a premium-toy theme park management simulation about making beautiful parks that actually work. You build showpiece rides, shape paths and plazas, place memorable food and retail stalls, manage staff coverage and finances, and answer to a Board of Directors that expects the magic to make money.

Is Mayhem Park coming to Steam?

Yes. Mayhem Park is planned for PC on Steam, and the public Steam page is being prepared. Until that page is live, the best way to support the game is to follow development and join the community, where we share new artwork, development updates and future playtest news.

When is Mayhem Park releasing?

A release date has not been announced yet. We want to share timing when the core experience, art pipeline and management systems are ready to be shown with confidence. Join Discord or the newsletter to be first in line for development updates, playtest news and launch timing.

Gameplay

Can I build roller coasters?

Yes. Mayhem Park is designed around a mix of family rides, water rides, flat rides and showpiece coasters. Coasters are planned as buildable attractions rather than single pre-made props, while other rides act as strong district anchors. Each attraction affects guest demand, queue pressure, park appeal and the financial health of the area around it.

Can I manage staff and finances?

Yes. Mayhem Park is not just a decoration toybox; the business layer matters. You will hire and assign staff, keep rides maintained, manage service pressure, set prices, track income and expenses, handle loans and decide where profit should be reinvested. A park can look spectacular and still fail if the operation underneath it is neglected.

What is the Board of Directors system?

The Board of Directors system gives the management layer a sharper edge. The Board reviews your performance across business and experience targets such as profit, guest happiness, ride uptime, staff coverage, operating efficiency and park appeal. Strong reviews build confidence and can unlock more freedom, while weak results put pressure on your next decisions.

Building

How does park building work?

Every park starts as a plot you shape into paths, plazas, ride districts, food courts, gardens and service routes. The building tools are designed around readable flow: where guests enter, where they queue, where they spend money, and how staff reach the places that need them. The aim is fast creative iteration without losing the clarity a management game needs.

Will there be a sandbox mode?

Yes. Sandbox mode is planned for players who want the creative side with the pressure dialled down. It is the place to experiment with ride districts, night lighting, food-court layouts and scenery combinations before taking those ideas back into scenario or business-focused play.

Business Management

Can I sell my park?

Yes. The park sale system is planned as part of the wider business progression. A thriving park can be held and expanded, or sold for a windfall that helps fund the next opportunity. That choice turns success into a strategic decision: keep squeezing value from a beloved park, or cash out and build something bigger elsewhere.

Are the finances realistic?

The finances are designed to be readable, meaningful and honest rather than opaque. Prices, wages, loans, guest spend, maintenance costs and reinvestment all matter to whether a park can keep growing. You should be able to understand why a district is thriving, why another is underperforming, and what decision is likely to move the numbers.

Technical

What platforms will Mayhem Park be on?

Mayhem Park is currently being built for PC, with Steam planned as the launch storefront. We are focusing there first so the building tools, UI, camera controls and simulation can be tuned properly. System requirements and any additional platform plans will be shared closer to release.

Will there be mod support?

We love community creativity, but formal mod support has not been announced yet. Right now the priority is making the core building, simulation, art and management systems strong. We are exploring community and sharing features, and we will talk about those plans more openly as development progresses.

Community

Can I join playtests?

We plan to run playtests as development continues, but slots will open only when a build is ready for useful outside feedback. Join Discord and sign up to the newsletter to be considered when testing begins. When playtests happen, we will be looking for clear feedback on building flow, readability, performance, management pressure and overall fun.

Is the game suitable for children?

Yes. Mayhem Park is designed to be family-friendly and approachable for players aged 8 and up, while still giving older players meaningful management decisions. The tone is bright, playful and non-gritty, with the challenge coming from planning, creativity, finances and operations rather than mature content.
